Unvented Hot Water Cylinders in Worcester

Unvented cylinders give mains-pressure hot water to every outlet in the house, which is why they suit properties with more than one bathroom. They are also pressurised vessels, so installation and servicing must be done by a qualified engineer and certified. We install, service and certify unvented systems across Worcestershire.

FAQs

Unvented Hot Water — your questions answered

Do unvented cylinders need servicing?

+

Yes, annually. The expansion vessel and safety devices need checking — an unserviced unvented cylinder is both less reliable and less safe.

Why is water dripping from the outside pipe?

+

That is the tundish discharge, and it usually means a safety valve is passing or the expansion vessel has lost its charge. It should be investigated rather than ignored.

Can I have an unvented cylinder with a combi boiler?

+

Combis heat water on demand and do not normally use a cylinder. Unvented cylinders pair with system or regular boilers.

Is my mains supply good enough?

+

We test the incoming flow rate and pressure before recommending an unvented system — that measurement decides whether it is suitable.
